The availability of goods of *some* types on B2B is, in all honestly, terrible.

Why not allow players the *option* of paying a modest fee for a "Retail Market Search", which would return a list of retail establishments that are selling the item you want, with the quantities available, and QL of the goods.

If you choose to buy from the other player's store, you would pay a premium above and beyond the normal retail price (10%?) which would represent all the "fake" shoppers that you sent to their stores to buy the items that you want.

This method of acquiring product is actually fairly common in the Real World with restaurants who might get most of their goods from a warehouser, but buy supplemental/extra items from local grocery stores and farmer's markets. It's been known to happen in other industries too - a lot of mom & pop convenience stores buy some of their products from Wal-Mart or Costco and resell them.

This would allow players to go outside the B2B market for oddball needs, like, say, 150,000 leather jackets.

One way is try to negotiate those top networth players or those with highest researches. They are more likely to sell you your desirable product and quality at a decent price. One good example I think is stormhammer.
