Posted on Jul 30, 2013 If you issue stock, in an IPO, and then decide later you would prefer to not have shareholders and be privately owned again, is there any way to do that? If you own 100% of the shares, via buying them from other shareholders as the controlling owner, or via stock buyback, can you then decide later to delist your firm from the stock market? This happens from time to time with real company, who get bought out by a private equity group or by management via LBO. Can it happen in the game? If not, this would appear to be a serious drawback to selling stock.
