I recently, and briefly, was the chairman of a company I owned a small amount of stock in. Since the company had been unattended to, for a period of time, it needed some upkeep - which I started immediately.

Unfortunately, more people bought stock, and I was no longer the chairman.

I tried to do the same thing, with another company, and have the largest share of stocks, but am not the chairman. Is there some kind of switch that needed to be set in the company itself, or do I need to wait for a period, or is there a minimum % somewhere I can't see?

If anyone knows, I'd certainly be interested in finding out.
