Sorry, havent the time to check ALL the previous threads....

QUESTION: Whats the benefit of up-grading or enlarging retail shops?

Thanks

By upgrading/enlarging, I'm assuming you mean increasing the size of the store. The number of goods you sell is directly proportional to the store size. So if you double the size of your store, you double the number of goods sold.

You mean I get MORE SHELVES?

Or do you mean it increases the amount of the goods sold that you already have for sale?

But doesnt ADVERTISING do that?

yeah I thought so.... so whats the point of increasing the size of a retail shop?

Wouldnt advertising do the same or better?

lets say your 10m^2 shop sells 10 beers every tick. If you increase your shop to 20m^2 it will sell 20 beers every tick. If you increase it to 40m^2 it will sell 40 beers every tick.
So your shop will have increased capacity to sell per m^2.

(note: these numbers are not including anything like demand met, advertising and price changes)

advertising ( marketing ) effect is decreasing over time, store size isnt.
and the biggest store, the highest amount of marketing is generated over time.
