Posted on May 25, 2012 I've messed around with hiring a few times, and here some some observations:- There needs to be space for the employer to define responsibilities, number of product lines, goals, etc. (beyond the check boxes). I hired someone and then had to fire them the same day because they were overwhelmed by the scope of the position (it was quite nice of them to let me know rather than ride out the salary, but I was still out the hiring fee). - There needs to be some sort of reference system. It is hard to tell without doing a bunch of research if the candidate who applied is running around applying for every position milking the salary, or if they actually would like to put more time into the game and are effectively managing a handful of positions. I don't want to just rule out hiring low net worth people because I'm sure many new players could be valuable employees. |
