There is a rapid increase in the prices of raw materials as some one appears to be cornering the market. This can cause a knock on effect to the overall prices and general inflation. In addition when prices re-balance we can see a crash in inventory values and company values. Just my opinion.

I think the market will correct, someone will always charge 1 penny under the going rate for electricity and water.

The market speculation pushed me into earlier than planned self-sustained home production of water and electricity.

While these shenanigans are going on, I imagine there will be very small companies who can't afford to build a well and need water. If that's you, message me and I'll sell small amounts of water to you for cheap.

Nobody will buy $7 water/elec, not even $1.
I must well produce it myself.

Again, you can use the request button to ask for a certain amount of goods for a certain price. I.E. 5,000,000 Water for .10 cents. I said this in the other thread too.

/me dislikes the current state of affairs.

Uncertainty in the markets as prices shift, goods become unavailable, and big companies buying out the cheap things to stifle competition and growth.

I should be fine, but smaller folk will have a harder time coping.
/me rates self as a medium now.

I try to keep the rates reasonable, unfortunately it's very tempting to sell utilities as inflated prices, knowing that they will be bought. I don't know how many times I logged in with all supply of water or electricity gone.

I suspect that eventually they'll dump all the utilities back on the market at $0.01 each, effectively disrupting the supply side of the utility market.

Right now the demand is suffering, then the supply will.

This situation is definitely bad for the game, and it hurts small players the most.

Well, one tip to get through this is to plan ahead and put up B2B Requests.

Given enough time, someone will sell to you at your asking price... as long as you are not one of those people asking for <i>unlimited<i> quantity...
Though, I do recommend pricing the request for utilities at or above .07 cents.
