Posted on Mar 1, 2012 About a week ago you added "system sales" to the mix to prevent the monopoly problem. I don't know if I'm running into these sales now or not, but I'm trying to complete some market-share quests. I've determined that for apple sorbet (haven't looked at the rest yet), even selling my items at cost I'd need at least three times my square footage to hit 5%. I guess I'm wondering how much of the current market is retail player sales and how much I'm trying to compete against "system" at the moment...because it seems a little unfair to give a player a quest and then stack the deck against ever completing it.

Posted on Mar 1, 2012 (Last edited on Mar 1, 2012) Ever wondered why the fame reward is so high for this type of quest? :-PAnyways, I believe the "system" player never accounts for more than 0-10% of the sales, UNLESS the average price on that product is sky high. Here are my stats on Apple Sorbet: 3 Day Stats: Total units sold (You): 183 k Total units sold (World): 848 k Your market share (Revenue): 21.85% Your market share (Count): 21.67% I'm guessing it's because of a player named Blooti who took advantage of the newbie instant construction to make a 5k store before I added a limit to it. |
