Well, since you're putting so much effort into this one, I'll let you take care of the matter. As you may have noticed, based on the current design, every product fits only into ONE category, and what the stores can sell and the R&Ds can research are determined by the categories, not products. To cure the root of the problem I'll have to change the design to allow products to fit into multiple categories, but unless it's absolutely necessary, I will NOT do it in EoS. An alternative fix would be to simply add more categories for more control. Theoretically if each product has its own category, then the problem wouldn't exist. As an example, instead of Milk Beverages, we can have Fresh Milk, Packaged Milk, Awesome Milk... and the Supermarket can only sell Packaged Milk. and the Dairy R&D can research all three. and Cafe can sell Fresh Milk and Packaged Milk. and the Econcaine A exporters can buy the Awesome Milk. But I'll leave this one to you :-)
