Posted on May 22, 2012 I will occasionally start upon a new line of research, and cancel out of 200+ hours of queued-up research, put in 20 minutes' worth to get the new one in, and then queue the 200+ hours of the old back. which works fine, except for the currently-researching item, which if I cancel I will have to start from scratch - and some of these are *long*.espcially now that we have floating-point quality, can we have floating-point research as well? so cancelling refunds the incomplete part, and then you can re-research only the incomplete part cost of partial upgrade = (cost of full upgrade) * (% left) e.g. if going from 20.723 to 21, then cost = (full cost to upgrade from 20 to 21) * (21 - 20.723) |

Posted on May 23, 2012 Nope, this one would require changes to the whole quality system. It's not as easy as using the float in place of the int.
