Posted on Jun 28, 2012 Crazy. You can't make a living in this game just selling to people on B2B? Are all the smelter and jewelry folks just running their entire supply chain in-house? Seems pretty boring if the "optimal" strategy is always to verticalize.Of course, having base values that don't include any time value doesn't help. People see stuff listed for 2x base on B2B and say "screw this, I can make it for half that" and just build everything in-house. Then they see the (incorrect) low cost in the warehouse and it validates/reinforces the behavior. |
