spinning off companies

I have a relatively small company with an internal supply chain. I can see a point coming soon where it would be more advantageous for me to split my business into two or three entities. The problem is that I won't be able to take the (most important) research and (almost as important) buildings with me. If I could spin off a new business with some of my techs and their supportive buildings, it would be super awesome. Of course the parent company would lost the access to the tech and buildings. I'd expect to pay some sort of fees to government and lawyers.
