Posted on Feb 28, 2013 I think what Leeroy was saying was that he wasn't going to sell it for less than $25 because that would just be silly. Steel needs 5 structures to do solo. coal mine, iron mine, water well, coal power plant, and smelter. To use that much space to make a tiny bit of profit would be silly. Could make better profit just selling fruit to export market with 1x well and 4x farms, buying the little bit of power you need.

Posted on Mar 2, 2013 I think one of the math guys once told me the true cost of steel is more like $100-140 per unit. That accounts for all factory overhead for the resources and production, including building maintenance and payrolls for all those productions. I would bet that if you search the past forums and threads, you will find those conversations.
